Two separate worlds have never seemed so close.

Although Julie and Julia can be deemed a movie that ignites the irresistible craving for fine dining, the craving for a hysterical story of hope is just as satisfied.

This movie is a story of two (based on true-story) worlds - 1949 France with Julia Child ( Meryl Streep) and 2002 Queens, NY with Julie Powell ( Amy Adams).

Young Julie Powell strives for motivation in her everyday cubicle-working life, and Julia Child, the past cooking sensation, comes to her rescue.

In 365 days, 524 recipes and 1 blog, Julie Powell decides to challenge herself to complete Julia Child's Cookbook, doing whatever it takes (even becoming a "Lobster Killer!") with Julia Child "by her side."

Well, she might as well be by her side. The movie has impeccable timing in taking you back and forth between the two time frames. For every step Julie Powell follows in the cookbook, there is a delightful flashback to explain.

Meryl Streep owns the role of the bubbly and adorable Julia Child speaking in a ridiculous voice like no other. Along with Julia’s husband, Paul Child ( Stanley Tucci) the comedic timing never ends.

It’s an exciting Journey between Julie Powell striving to make her cooking deadline and a look back into Julia Child making a name for herself with a cookbook that was once impossible to get published.

One will find that both Julie and Julia's lives are highly parallel with supportive husbands, persistence, and obviously the endless love of food.

The showcasing of both French and American lifestyles really tops the movie all together, with understandable French lingo and diverse characters.

With room to cut some flashbacks that drag on too long, the merging of the 2 stories lead up to 1 that brings pure inspiration. With two women that are "both lost and saved by food" things get highly enjoyable.

So, if you love food and good movies, consider Julie and Julia a piéce de resistance
