Marjory Stoneman Douglas High: Noises Off!
Anna Tenutta Noises Off
Backstage chaos is brought to the forefront in Marjory Stoneman Douglas's production of Noises Off! by Michael Frayn, as actors roll down stairs, lose doorknobs, flub every conceivable line, and attempt to do everything but kill one another--and yet still try to salvage the show.
Dana Nieuwkerk Noises Off
In a play where love triangles, babies, costume confusion, lines, doors, and blocking all seems to be problematic, it would be thought that the sardines would be the least of any actor's worries; however, "Nothing On" proves that salty fish truly hold great significance in the world of theatre. As a play within the play Noises Off!, "Nothing On" highlights the hilarity in any commotion occurring backstage during a production. On Saturday night, Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School executed Noises Off! in a way which was animated, energetic, and quite funny.
Mohammad Islam - Noises Off
When almost everything that could go wrong in a production does, it's hard to retain any sense of sanity that is what the hapless characters of Nothing On face in Stoneman Douglas' rendition of Noises Off!
Austin Young Noises Off
Whimsical music complements the warm glow illuminating the interior of a two-story home as a sharp, piercing British accent becomes audible from one of the numerous doors on the set. A congenial beginning to Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School's production of Noises Off! appears ironic in retrospect after viewing the relationships between the cast of the internal play Nothing On spiral towards frenzied mania and mayhem. The cast of Noises Off! gave an excellent performance highlighted by multiple moments of genius and humor.
