With the dimming of the lights, and the shushing of the crowds, the show began. As each of the opening acts for Ryan Cabrera’s show took stage on June 10 at Revolution Live, the audience grew more intense and more pumped.

Starting the night was an experienced singer and songwriter from Coconut Creek, Jesse Young and his band members, Jason and Jacob. Together, they’ve played with such artists as Jason Mraz, Bon Jovi and Fall Out Boy.

Their experience on stage was clearly visible. They joked around between songs and interacted with the crowd.

They even stopped playing halfway through a song so Young could tune his guitar. He didn’t want the audience to hear him playing “crappy” after having paid “so much money to be here tonight.”

Before the show, many of the audience members were upset about the show's starting time. But with Young's upbeat and happy music, the crowd mellowed out and got pumped up for the rest of the night.

The second act of the night was a last-second stand-in, Michele Karmin.

Karmin, from New Jersey, had great energy and a sort of Alanis Morrisette vibe to her music.

But the crowd got excited when she did a cover of the great Stand By Me. Fans even took out their lighters and cell phones to wave in the air.

The final opening act of the evening was Australia’s The Kin.

When the two brothers, Isaac and Thorry Koren, took the stage, it was apparent no one had expected them to be either that good, or that handsome.

The pair did a great set. They danced around on stage, sang and told stories to the fans about eating at their first Outback Steakhouse. They enjoyed the meal, but there is “no such thing as a blooming onion, or shrimp on the bar-b in Australia.”

The chemistry between the brothers was great, and it made their music even better.
