Zinch Super Student Stimulus Scholarship:
Open to students who will be entering college in the next 12 months. Both need and merit are considered. Complete the Zinch profile at www.zinch.com before the deadline to be considered for $5,555 scholarship. Deadline September 5.
Antique Rivet Motion Scholarship:
$500 available to students 16 years and older looking to major in visual arts. Must submit an animated or live action video up to 30 seconds on selected topic. See www.antiquerivet.com for information and to submit video. Deadline: September 9.
SATW Teen Travel Writing Scholarship:
$1,000 to students 13-18 who write about an experience while traveling. Essay must be no more than 600 words. www.travelbigo.com /scholarships/SATW. Deadline: September 27.
Questbridge:
Questbridge offers full four-year scholarships to select institutions, like MIT and Yale. Applicants must submit the online application, school transcripts, score reports, an essay and teacher recommendations. Most finalists are in the top 5% of their class and receive an average of 1940 on the SAT. Need and merit are considered. www.questbridge.org. Deadline September 30.
College Prowler "No Essay" Scholarship:
A "no essay required" application must be filled out on http://collegeprowler.com/scholarship/apply.aspx. The $2,000 award can be used for tuition, housing, meal plans and other education-related expenses. Open to all high school and college students. Deadline September 30.
IvySelect College Scholarship:
$1,000 to offset tuition fees. Open to all high school juniors. Winner is chosen based on merit and a 250-word statement. Visit www.ivyselect.com. Deadline: September 30.
Global Citizen Corps Poetry Contest:

Brickfish Back in Black and White Photo Challenge:
An easy $1,000 for the best color-free photo. Submit to www.brickfish.com/BackInBlackandWhite by November 5.
FAPSC Scholarship Program:
The Florida Association of Postsecondary Schools and Colleges offers full tuition scholarships of $1,000 and $5,000 to graduating seniors. Must have at least a 2.0 GPA and attend a Florida school. Visit www.fapsc.org.
First Freedom Student Competition:
$3,000, $1,500 and $750 awards for students who examine religious freedom and its importance in an essay. Open to 9-12 grade students. Register by November 23 to be applicable. www.firstfreedom.org/education/students.html.

Common Knowledge Scholarship Foundation:
Participate in the the High School Internet Challenge by taking quizzes on various topics and earning money for it. Prizes are $100 and up. Site is open year round. Visit cksf.org.
Healthy Respect Scholarship:
Open to current high school students, grades 9-12. Submit an essay of 350-550 words, telling how making healthy choices has helped you focus on achieving your goals. $1,000 award. healthrespect.org/scholarship/. Deadline: Oct. 15.
2009 Youth Free Expression Film Contest:
Budding filmmakers 19 or younger can make a four-minute-or-less film on the topic "Free Speech in School (Does it Exist?)." Three winners will receive either a partial $5,000 scholarship or a full scholarship to the New York Film Academy's one-week digital filmmaking course. Visit www.ncac.org/yfen for information.
