The award is given to students on a first-come, first-served basis, and additional funds are available for students who live on campus. The award is open to graduating seniors who have a 3.5 GPA, 1270 SAT (Critical Reading and Math) or 28 Composite ACT, 75 community-service hours and 15 credits of college prep courses and who are enrolling full-time in an undergraduate program at NSU's main campus in Davie. Applicant must have minimum 3.5 GPA, taken 15 credits of college preparatory academic courses, completed 75 hours of community service, and scored at least 1270 on SAT or 28 on ACT (excluding writing sections). Applicant with highest academic ranking in each county will receive Academic Top Scholars award of $1,500. Florida Gold Seal Vocational Scholars Award Open to permanent residents of Florida and can be used at a vocational/technical school, two-year college or four-year college. Minimum 3.0 GPA in core credits, 3.5 GPA in minimum of three vocational credits. Specific CPT, SAT or ACT test scores required.
