Broward Meals on Wheels provides quality services to ensure that
seniors meet their nutritional needs and remain healthy and
independent. Our Volunteer Grocery Shopping Service provides
homebound seniors with a dependable and helpful friend who will go
grocery shopping on their behalf. Volunteers typically shop once a
week or once every other week depending upon the senior's needs.

Shutter Assistance for the Elderly (SAFE)
Anytime. Volunteers needed to help senior citizens put up shutters
prior to a storm. Volunteers must be able to lift the weight of the

Dine with the Disabled and Make a Friend

The mission of this agency is to reduce the pain and suffering of

Homeless Veterans Reintegration Program

Taxpayer Clinic of Legal Aid in Plantation. Volunteers must sign

Teen Court
4:30-7:30 p.m., Monday-Thursday, various locations. Hearings occur in all four county courthouses. This is a program designed to offer juvenile offenders an alternative to formal court proceedings. Volunteers ages 12 to 17 serve as jurors, bailiffs, clerks and advocates for the defendants in Teen Court. Training is provided. Contact the volunteer coordinator at 954-831-1291.
Adopt A Street Program
Anytime. Adopt-A-Street is a partnership between Broward
Beautiful, Broward County Government, and participating cities.
Volunteer groups agree to adopt one-half of a mile or more of a
selected street and remove the litter four times per year for two
years. Volunteers are needed to provide organizational help,
cleanup supplies, free disposal and Adopt-A-Street signs. For more
