Layne Kula – West Side Story
With stunning sets, riveting performances, and an overwhelming roller coaster of emotions, Alexander W. Dreyfoos School of the Art's production of West Side Story was nothing short of incredible. With music by Leonard Bernstein and lyrics by Steven Sondheim, these talented players successfully managed to breathe life into this American classic, based on the book by Arthur Laurents.

Ara Parikh – West Side Story
Interpretive dance often resonates grace, fragility, and beauty. The distinct and controversial rhythmic movement imitating gangs and war in AW Dreyfoos School of Arts' production of West Side Story provoked an examination of the fierce capacity of love.

Nick Gereffi – West Side Story
The smoldering tension between rival gangs ignites in a stinging fury amidst a forbidden romance in West Side Story, Stephen Sondheim, Leonard Bernstein, and Arthur Laurents' urban musicalization of Shakespeare's Romeo & Juliet. Presented by AW Dreyfoos School of the Arts, this production soars with ample amounts of searing passion and palpable fervor.

Breanne Palmer - West Side Story
One by one, slender young men saunter onto a stage dimly lit by streetlight, striking stylized poses in the alleys, as pulsating, rhythmic music swells and builds, sweeping through the theatre. A.W. Dreyfoos School of the Arts' production of West Side Story was a heady and intense piece of high school theatre, from overture to finale.

Austin Young – West Side Story
Two vintage streetlamps illuminated the magnificent, towering set depicting a New York streetscape with a tepid glow. Vibrant melodies permeated the stage as members from two gangs labeled the Jets and the Sharks entered close proximity on disputed territory. A.W. Dreyfoos School of the Arts combined grandiose technical aspects, magnificent choreography, and stellar singing and acting in their production of West Side Story.
