Junior Lauren Lewkowicz had 27 kills, 15 digs and six service points as Coral Springs came back after trailing two games to none against Deerfield Beach 16-25, 20-25, 25-23, 25-23, 15-12 in a District 10-6A girls' volleyball semifinal match on Tuesday. Molly Ferch added 43 assists, 15 service points and nine digs for the Colts (13-8), who move on to face No. 1 seed Douglas at 7 p.m. Thursday. The Bucks finish the season at 14-9. Freshman Kirsten Kuhl's 11 kills and seven service points helped lift Douglas over Taravella 26-24, 25-7, 25-19. Junior Victoria Ashley had 10 kills for the Eagles (15-6), who are undefeated in the district, including a three games-to-none win over Coral Springs earlier this month. Taravella finishes the season at 15-6. In other district playoff action, No. 1 Hollywood Hills and No. 2 Plantation swept their semifinal matches and will face each other in the District 11-6A championship Thursday at 4 at South Broward High. Senior Taylor Miller had 16 kills, nine digs and four blocks to lead Hollywood Hills over South Plantation 25-12, 25-6, 25-23. Aya De La Rosa added 12 service points and seven digs for the Spartans (14-7). For Plantation, Jenna Keeler had 15 kills, 11 digs, nine blocks and three service points to lead the Colonels over South Broward 25-20, 25-19, 25-11. Ann-Lory Pierre added 13 service points, nine digs, four kills and four blocks for the Colonels (14-5). The Bulldogs end the season at 10-7.
