Singer Celine Dion has taken a different approach on love in her newest album, Taking Chances.
From the album's debut single, Taking Chances (featured on the season finale of Dancing With the Stars) to the song Alone, Dion varies her vocals as much as the instruments in this album.
She sounds as if she is directly in your home, with her tranquil, soothing voice.
And unlike her 2004 album, Miracle, her music now focuses on the dreams and desires of what relationships can be, instead of their actual condition.
Reminiscent of My Heart Will Go On, Taking Chances will likely become the new classic love album, featuring songs that capture the best of Dion's talent.
Not only does her voice shine with different intensities, but the use of guitars and string instruments help evoke passion in her music.
The album tackles the complexities of relationships, from depression, lies and asking for forgiveness to hope for what the world may still have to offer.
In My Love and Fade Away, Dion sings of learning from mistakes.
Having ended her Las Vegas show to take her music to the next level, Dion really lets her audience feel the joy, frustration and pain caused by love in her new music.
In preparation for her 2008-09 world tour, Dion's fantastic new album is sure to be recognized as one of her best.
