After an online battle spanning nearly two weeks, American Heritage computer teacher Maria Molina won Teenlink's My Teacher Rocks Teacher of the Year contest on Tuesday. Elated, she said, "I would walk the hallways and get screams [from students that voted for me]."
She was delighted to know that students cared about her. "When I told kids that I was not winning, they started voting and voting to keep me on top." And they did vote, garnering Mrs. Molina over 11,000 votes. "Bottom line, I feel loved by my babies."
