Mr. Chandler made grammar fun! I never thought that Grammar and fun could be used in the same sentence, but somehow his teaching style made us excited about learning. From the game-show-style grammar bowl, to his eccentric quoting of random lines of great literature, Mr. Chandler is an awesome teacher. Aside from the work he puts into making sure his students understand the material during class, he also is willing to offer academic assistance to anyone who needs it after school. He is patient and caring when it comes to his students, and till this day I still stop by to visit and sometimes get tutored by Mr. Chandler, even though I have not had his class since 10th grade. He is the type of teacher who will write a meaningful letter of recommendation, or buy a cookie from his student if they are fundraising for a school trip. Mr. Chandler rocks because he goes above and beyond what his description entitles. I genuinely feel like he cares about the success of his students.
