Destination Fashion Event
Celebrities and notable community leaders attended the Destination Fashion Event, hosted by The Buoniconti Fund. In attendance: singer Enrique Iglesias Tom Brokaw, DJ Irie, True Blood and Magic Mike star Joe Manganiello, Gossip Girl star Matthew Settle, actor Tommy Lee Jones, actor Colin Egglesfield, Emilio Pucci Head Designer Peter Dundas, Music Icon Emilio Estefan and singer Wayne Newton.
The fundraiser was held at the Bal Harbour Shops and raised nearly $31 million.
The Buoniconti Fund was founded by NFL Hall of Famer Nick Buoniconti in 1985, after his son, Marc, became paralyzed during a college football game. It is the fundraising arm of The Miami Project to Cure Paralysis, a comprehensive spinal cord injury research center.
