It’s coming this November 11 – 18 at the Center for Literature and Theater at Miami Dade College, and will officially open with the “popular Evenings With… series, featuring six nights of readings and discussions with noted authors from the United States and around the world,” according to the official website of the Miami Book Fair.
Don’t miss the Street Fair from November 16 – 18, and the dubbed “highlight” of the Street Fair, the Festival of Authors, which will feature over 365 authors, such as Isabel Toledo (Roots of Style), Chip Kidd (Batman: Death by Design), Andrew Smith (Passenger), Michael Goodwin (Economix: How and Why Our Economy Works), Mark Helprin (In Sunlight and Shadow), and many more, who will read and discuss their works. This includes the Latin American and Spanish authors participating in the IberoAmerican Authors Program, a full program in Spanish.
Children will also have plenty of fun at the Street Fair in the Children’s Alley with activities such as theater, arts-and-crafts, storytelling, and readings by children’s books authors. But let’s not forget the Student Literary Encounters, which will feature sessions with students on campus and at outreach locations; the Antiquarian Annex, a rare books exhibit of signed first editions, original manuscripts, and other collectibles with over 250 publishers and booksellers; and the Comix Galaxy, a showcase of the visual storytelling of comic books and graphic novels.
