Staff Writer

Caribbean fashion and culture is being celebrated at Westfield Broward mall in Plantation Monday, June 23 through Sunday, June 29.

The event - staged during Caribbean American Heritage Month - will include designer fashion pop-up shops throughout the mall. But things really get going Saturday, June 28 and Sunday, June 29 with a number of freen and open-to-the-public runway fashion shows.

The models on the catwalks will share the spotlight with live Caribbean-flavored entertainment, celebrity guests and cultureal performances.

“With our unique location in central Broward and close proximity to several hotels, [an] international airport and [a] cruise port, Westfield Broward has evolved into a retail locale where a multitude of cultures organically converge, “ says Andrew Martineau, director of marketing for Westfield Broward mall. “The new Westfield Broward is creating a venue where the communal engagement of hanging out with family and friends from various cultures in a fun and safe environment that incorporates important family functions alongside quality retail stores is embraced and promoted - and what better way to celebrate culture than by partnering with various entities in the Caribbean community during Caribbean American Heritage month.”
