Who knows how many women out there are wearing the wrong size bra?
The undergarment industry predicts it’s as high as eight out of 10 women (no word on how many men).
But seriously, Macy’s and Wacoal are once again teaming up to help women not only find their correct size, but to raise money for fighting breast cancer. The in-store fundraiser will have fit experts ready to help during the free and open to the public event. Foor every fitting, the undergarment label Wacoal will donate $2 to Susan G. Komen. They will give an additional $2 for every Wacoal or b.tempt’d by Wacoal bra or shapewear piece purchased on the event day.
All of the sessions will take place between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m.
Foundation manufacturers suggest women be professionally fitted for a bra at least once a year to ensure their cup and width size has not changed as a result of weight gain or loss, pregnancy, menopause or other changes in their body.
Breast cancer accounts for 26 percent of all cancers among women. A monthly breast self-examination is an important way to detect abnormalities at an early stage.
