Tickets go on sale 10 a.m. Friday, March 2, for Cirque du Soleil’s new arena show, “Crystal.” For the first time in Cirque’s 34-year history, the production will be a mash-up of ice skating and the circus arts.
Cirque, a Montreal-based human circus, currently has 20 shows up and touring. “Crystal” is Cirque’s 42nd original production since the company started in 1984. The show’s tour will open March 8 in Phoenix.
In this new show, skaters and gymnasts perform synchronized skating, freestyle figures and extreme skating combined with traditional circus acts such as swinging trapeze, aerial traps and hand-to-hand.
