Here's what is happening on South Florida stages this week.

Me and My Girl

In this old-fashioned musical comedy, the young Earl of Hareford has to decide whether to make his aristocratic family happy or marry the love of his life, all the while hoofing it up like a Broadway baby. After an original run in the West End in 1937, the show was turned into a movie in 1939 titled "The Lambeth Walk." There was a brief West End revival in 1952 before the show was revised twice before another West End revival in 1984, where it ran for eight years. In 1986, the musical came to Broadway, where it won three Tony Awards. The production at Maltz Jupiter Theatre includes some special shows: Deaf Night Out with sign-language interpretation Dec. 13, Family Show Time Dec. 16 and Gay Pride Night Dec. 17.
