Wedding costs have reached new high nowadays. According to which survey you trust, the price of nuptials with around 150 guests is somewhere between $21,000 and $26,000.
Imagine how much moula you will save if the bridal gown was made out of toilet paper.
Go on, imagine it.
And if that sparks your creative side then you might consider entering the "Ninth Annual Cheap Chic Weddings 2013 Toilet Paper Wedding Dress Contest."
Organized by Boca-based money savers Laura Gawne, Susan Bain and Roxie Radford of the website Cheap-Chic-Weddings.com, the contest is taking submissions between now and May 10, 2013 (at 11 p.m. EST).
And yes, the sponsor this year is Charmin. I shit you not.
Contestants can submit their paper matrimonial-moda-masterpieces by sending in a photo to Cheap Chic Weddings at TPdresscontest@gmail.com.
The top three dress designs will be showcased at a live event at RK Bridal in Manhattan on June 6, 2013. Parkland-raised Project Runway contestant Katelyn Pankoke will help crown the top winner.
The grand prize winner receives $2,000, second place gets $1,000 and third place wins $500.
