SEAN’S DANCE FACTORY PRESENTS “BIG BANG XVII”

What: Local hip-hop choreographer Sean Green and his troupe subtitled this year’s performance “A Decade of Excellence,” since the show commemorates Sean’s Dance Factory’s founding in 2003.

STEVEN CARAS

What: One of Palm Beach’s own is the subject of the Emmy-winning documentary “Steven Caras: See Them Dance,” which will be broadcast on West Palm Beach’s Public Broadcasting Service twice this month. The world-renowned dance photographer was recently feted by Broadway legend Chita Rivera during an award gala at the Breakers. Also, Caras will interview entertainer Michael Feinstein as part of the Lunch and Learn series at the Kravis Center on Feb. 7 at 11:30 a.m. (Tickets cost $75 at Kravis.org.) FLORIDA YOUTH DANCE GALA

What: Forty dancers from 11 local academies will entertain at what Gala founder Mauricio Canete calls “a celebration of dance, love, talent and passion.” The evening will also include Carlos Miguel Guerra and his wife, Jennifer Kronenberg, both principal dancers with the Miami City Ballet.

When: 7:30 p.m. Feb. 8
