Yup, there are two fashion weeks strutting it out in Miami Beach.
Funkshion Fashion Week Miami Beach is taking place March 20 - 22 in tents set up in Collins Park at 21st Street and Collins Avenue (between the W and Setai Hotels).
The big differences? Well, Funkshion's organizers have always maintained that their spate of catwalk capers is more about clothes that can be found on store racks now. And Funkshion allows the general public to attend free of charge as long as they RSVP by emailing Collins@Funkshion.com.

Rod Hagwood: I could have sworn I was interviewing for "fashionable" editor back in 1990 when I applied for this job. I imagined I was just going to sashay around the newsroom wearing an array of fabulous designer ensembles. Imagine my disappointment when I found out my bosses wanted me to actually work...instead of working it.
