It's bring on the new with the Kravis on Broadway series.
Out of the five shows heading to West Palm Beach's Raymond F. Kravis Center for the Performing Arts for the 2013-2014 season, only one — "Evita" — has appeared there previously.
Here is the season:
Nov. 29-Dec. 8, 2013, "Radio City Christmas Spectacular Starring the Rockettes": The famed high-kicking Rockettes get updated with a 50-foot LED screen with dazzling projections.
Jan. 7-12, 2014, "The Gershwins’ Porgy and Bess": The highly touted Broadway show (a 2012 Tony winner for best revival) sparks a road tour of the masterwork musical, with such gems as "Summertime," "It Ain’t Necessarily So" and "I Got Plenty of Nothing."
Feb.12-16, 2014, "War Horse": It's been a popular book and a Steven Spielberg movie. Now, the critically acclaimed play and five-time Tony Award winner about World War I comes to the Kravis with its astonishing life-size horse puppets.
March 4-9, 2014, "Sister Act": The heaven-sent Whoopi Goldberg film franchise hits the stage as a disco-fied musical about nuns on the run.
April 8-13, 2014, "Evita": The tale of Eva Peron and her rise from the Argentine slums to first lady comes back after a successful revival on Broadway.
April 29-May 4, 2014, "Million Dollar Quartet": The show is based on a mostly true story of a jam session with Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and Carl Perkins.
Subscription for all six productions cost from $174 to $492, and tickets will go on sale 10 a.m. Friday, July 12 to the general public. (Current subscribers will get renewals the beginning of April.) Call 800-572-8471 or go to Kravis.org/broadway
