With our Carib-fab population here in South Florida natural hairstyles are happening.
Braids, twists, cornrows and afros have attained a level of acceptance and popularity across the country, but it happened here in SoFlo first.
Natural Trendsetters hair salon is hosting the "10th Annual South Florida Natural Hair Beauty and Wellness Expo" on Sunday, December 16, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Fort Lauderdale -7pm at the Marriott Fort Lauderdale North (6650 North Andrews Avenue in Fort Lauderdale).

The exposition includes beauty and wellness product workshops on product knowledge, hair care tips, live hair demonstrations as well as self-empowerment and wellness classes.
The event will also feature special live performances, fashion showcases and live platform masterclasses. A portion of the proceeds will go to the Florida Memorial University HBCU scholarship fund.

I imagined I was just going to sashay around the newsroom wearing an array of fabulous designer ensembles.
