You can get all grand and classic...for free.

On Friday, Jan. 31 the Palm Beach Opera will present a free performance of Ned Rorem’s “Our Town” – based on the Thornton Wilder play of the same name – as the first performance of the “One Opera in One Hour” 2014 season.

The series features PBO’s Young Artists performing abridged versions of operatic works with musical highlights and piano accompaniment.

In case it’s been awhile since you’ve seen a production of Wilder’s “Our Town,” let me remind you that it’s about the citizens of an average town circa 1901-1913 and their daily lives.
