It's way down in South Miami, but believe me...it's worth the schlepp.
Designer Susie Crippen of CRIPPEN and Lauren Book, founder of Lauren's Kids are teaming up to host a meet-the-designer event Wednesday, March 5 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at one of the most stylerrific stores in South Miami, At Ease on Sunset (5844 Sunset Drive).
In case you don't know, Crippen came up with J Brand before launching her eponymous collection. Lauren's Kids is a non-profit dedicated to preventing sexual abuse.
10% of profits will be donated to the charity. For more information, call 305-662-1022.

Rod Hagwood: I could have sworn I was interviewing for "fashionable" editor back in 1990 when I applied for this job. I imagined I was just going to sashay around the newsroom wearing an array of fabulous designer ensembles. Imagine my disappointment when I found out my bosses wanted me to actually work...instead of working it.
