"Wallenberg, A New Musical Drama"

Director Harry Murphy (far right) rehearses with the cast as well as students and faculty of the Lynn University Conservatory of Music. The performance benefits Lynn's drama program as a fundraiser for a planned joint project with The American College of Dublin (February 10, 2014)

One of the greatest heroes of the 20th Century – Raoul Wallenberg, who rescued over 100,000 lives in Nazi-occupied Hungary during World War II – has his bravery and ingenuity spotlighted in “Wallenberg, A New Musical Drama.”

The show gets a multi-media staged reading at Boca Raton’s Lynn University, which will be the musical’s South Florida premiere.

In this production, Wallenberg will be played by Jim Weitzer, who recently appeared in “The Phantom of the Opera” in London’s West End.

The performances are at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 12 and Thursday, Feb. 13 at The Keith C. and Elaine Johnson Wold Performing Arts Center at Lynn University, 3601 N. Military Trail, Boca Raton.
