If George Franconero had his way, we would not this weekend be celebrating the 50th anniversary of Fort Lauderdale's "Citizen Kane" ... Its "Potemkin" ... Its "Where the Boys Are."

Franconero didn't want the movie made, at least not with the involvement of his then 21-year-old pop star daughter, Connie Francis.

"It's a dirty movie," Franconero told producer Joe Pasternak as they discussed the script in early 1960 in the Franconero home in Newark, N.J.
