Something has to be done about the fencing. The fence in the smaller dog park is TOO HIGH off the grass. They cover some gaps with the use of some blocks, but there's still TONS of gaps. My dog had escaped through the fencing & onto the parking lot. She's a 15lb dog too. Thank God my dog didn't become an example for something to be done, but something needs to be done, before a dog gets killed. The reason for dog parks is for dogs to be offleash in a SECURE FENCED in area.

This is a great park offering three separate gated areas for dogs. It has nice agility equipment and poop bags to keep the park clean. Neg.- Small children allowed to run lose and play on the DOG equipment. Given recent city cut backs, we need to preserve what little we have. Funding for dog parks will be the first to go with any new budget cuts. Poor drainage near front entrance- gets really muddy when it rains. Overall, nice park. It's clean and they offer free flyball classes on Sundays.

As a miniature dachsund, I have found the Happy Tails Dog Park in Plantation, FL to be the best place EVER! My parents bring me here almost everyday. I have made some great pals who are all super friendly. There are 3 separate areas so that dogs of all sizes can stay safe and happy. It is kept immaculately and all owners are very good about doing their share to keep it clean (poop-patrol!) I have been to some of the other dog parks in the area and none compare to this one!

My favorite dog park of all...not too big, not too small, lots of charm and character with wrought iron gates, water fountains, benches and a good mix of people and dogs at all times.

My dogs have loads of fun at this park. The grass is lovely and there is a covered area for doggie chaperones to sit. I do agree with the previous reviewer in that it is a bad idea to bring treats (I do believe that this is a park rule) and I do tend to worry when I see small children in a park full of dogs.

This is a wonderful park for you and your dog. It's a huge area that dogs can run free and play with other dogs. There are water fountains for dogs and a dog washing area. It's a wonderful place. Two comments - 1) PLEASE don't bring food - it creates chaos 2) PLEASE leave your kids at home if they don't like to be greeted affectionately (i.e., licked) by dogs!

Been to this park numerous times and must say it is both fun for owner and pet. No major problems with dog fighting and such as most owner stay very attentive and seperate dogs at the first signs of trouble. Plenty of shade for both pets and people and water fountains on both sides on the big dog area with plenty or running room and tennis balls left laying around. Plenty of parking and no park admission fee...lots of fun and highly recommended.
