No, the dogs cannot go in the water. There is a nice view of the water from the dog park though. There is usually a very nice group of people who bring their dogs. I don't recommend you bring children below 12 to the dog park - it's a hazard to the dogs and to the kids. Many dogs don't get along with kids and the park is the one place they can go run freely. It's a good time to go (a lot of action) weekdays after 4 PM and anytime during the day on the weekend.

I have two small dogs 10 and 12 lbs and although it says there is a fenced area for the smaller dogs I have only seen one fenced area and all dogs go in, large and small. I would feel a lot more comfortable if there was an area ONLY for small dogs. Other than that, I havent really noticed the dirt thing as the other review said. Overall the park is a beautiful place (right on the bay) to spend a couple of hours with your furry friend and with your family.

I love takening my dog to the park but there is just one problem .The park is full of rocks all over the grass when the dogs play they love to chase each other and that causes for the dogs feet to get cut because of all the rocks, there is also hardly grass so its all dirt.wen the wind blows you see the dirt rise. I know u have someone that works for the park they wont clean it up, he's nice enough to put doggy bags. hope u can help ..thanx
