Markham Park USE to be the best park but now it destroyed from hurricane Wilma and they took all the trees down and you have no shade at all. They made a dog park and don't seem to care about the campers. I went there recently and they have planted new trees again but they are palms. Nothing exciting at this park unless you have a dog

it is just a pool..it really is lousy to go to. full of mosquitos and truly a waste of time

This was the first time at this park for me. The cost was great (Only $1.00 to get into the park). There was wide open space to run and play. Fence was high enough to prevent larger dogs from jumping into the smaller dog arena. Plenty of shade and bences for my bipedal family. Drinking water available as well as a hose to cool off. Park rangers are VERY much present to check to make sure ALL dogs have proof of rabies (PS you will be written up if you do not have proog of tags or papers).
