The Everglades provide a perfect habitat for both freshwater and saltwater fish.

With a baited hook, and a little patience, you're most likely to catch bass, snapper, redfish, bluegill and sea trout.

Florida licenses are required for both freshwater and saltwater fishing.

Freshwater fishing is prohibited at the Ernest F. Coe (Main) Visitor's Center, the Royal Palm Visitor Center, Chekika Lake, along the first 3 miles of Main Park Road, and along the Shark Valley Trail.

Saltwater fishing is prohibited in Eco, Mrazek and Coot Bay Ponds. No fishing is allowed at West Lake or the Flamingo Marina during the daytime.
