Job Opening: News Intern

Are you a news junkie? Are you creative and witty and can write captivating copy? Want hands-on training into the world of TV newscasting and hosting?

If so, you’ve come to the right place. SFL-TV is searching for a hard-working, dedicated, enthusaistic intern to help shape our daily newscasts and weekly talk show. You’ll work closely with the show’s host, producer and writer as well as the videography/editing team. As part of the team, you’ll help compile stories for our NewsBreaks, help research guests for our talk show and conduct man-on-the-street interviews for both. This is an incredible opportunity to be part of something exciting, learn a lot and have a ton of fun. If this sounds good, let’s hear from you!
Please note
- Must have basic knowledge of Microsoft Word
- Must have your finger on the pulse of the latest news, entertainment and sports in South Florida
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be enrolled in an educational institution that provides sponsorship through a cooperative education program which insures their students through their workmen's compensation and/or liability insurance policy.
- All internships are for college credit, and students must have a Junior or Senior standing.
- Positive, professional, can do attitude
- The ability to work 20 plus hours per week. Flexible scheduling available
