9 Mile Music Festival 2015: One love, four Marleys

If you are keeping score at home, there will be four performers with the surname Marley among the headliners announced for the annual 9 Mile Music Festival Feb. 14 in Miami.

Stephen, Damian and Julian Marley will be joined by Stephen’s son Joe Mersa Marley at the festival on Valentine’s Day at the Miami-Dade County Fairgrounds (10901 Coral Way, Miami). Also on the bill are Soja and Jessie Royal, with more acts to come, festival organizers say.

Now in its 22nd year in various incarnations and names, the 9 Mile Music Festival honors the life and philosophy of reggae legend Bob Marley. The festival, created with the help of Marley's mother, the late Cedella Marley Booker, is named for the Jamaican village where Marley was born and buried.

Tickets are on sale now at 9MileMusicFestival.com. The cost for a general-admission ticket is $52.83 (VIP is $178.74), but each ticketholder also must bring a donation of four cans of food to enter.
