Kurt Vile bringing new music to Fort Lauderdale

Kurt Vile and the Violators will perform March 13 at Revolution Live in Fort Lauderdale on a tour supporting his imminent album, “Bottle It In.”

Advance general-admission tickets will cost $24 and go on sale 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 14, at the Revolution Live box office (no fees), at 100 SW Third Ave.; at LiveNation.com; and at all Ticketmaster outlets, including Ticketmaster.com and by calling 800-745-3000. Tickets at the door will cost $26.

Vile can be a transcendent performer and his shape-shifting music — equal parts electric indie-rock provocateur and thoughtful alt-folk poetry — is a potent elixir. His Miami Beach show last year at the North Beach Bandshell was the subject of much passionate deliberation.

Canadian alt-country quartet the Sadies will open the concert at Revolution Live. Vile’s album is due for release Oct. 12. For more information, visit KurtVile.com and JoinTheRevolution.net.
