Ticket alert: Tom Jones hitting Hollywood

Tom Jones — er, make that Sir Tom Jones — will perform in concert May 11 at Hollywood’s Hard Rock Event Center.

Tickets for the show at the entertainment venue at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino go on sale Friday, Dec. 7 at 10 a.m., although there is a pre-sale at Hard Rock’s Facebook and Twitter pages Dec. 6 starting at 10 a.m.

Tickets cost $35, $55, $85 and $115. To order, call 800-745-3000 or go to MyHRL.com or Ticketmaster.com.

Jones, who was knighted by Queen Elizabeth II in 2006, is known for a string of chart toppers in the ‘60s and ‘70s. Among his 19 Top 40 hits in the United States and 36 in the United Kingdom are “What’s New Pussycat,” “I’ll Never Fall in Love Again,” “If I Only Knew.” “It’s Not Unusual,” “Delilah” and “Kiss” (a Prince cover recorded with Art of Noise in 1988).

The 78-year-old Welshman has worked with the likes of Wyclef Jean, Natalie Imbruglia, Van Morrison and Jack White. From 2012-2015 he was a coach on “The Voice U.K.” After a falling out with producers, he returned to the TV singing competition in 2017. In the last decade he has released three albums, “Praise and Blame,” “Spirit in the Room” and “Long Lost Suitcase.”
