Bocelli, Estefan, Flo Rida headline Hard Rock Rising Miami Beach

Miami Beach celebrates 100th anniversary with (somewhat) free concert

Andrea Bocelli, Barry Gibb, Gloria Estefan, Flo Rida, Jon Secada and Wyclef Jean are headlining Hard Rock Rising Miami Beach, a music festival taking place Thursday, March 26, at Eighth Street and Ocean Drive. The event is part of the city of Miami Beach's 100th anniversary celebration.

The show will begin at 4 p.m., with the headliners hitting the stage about 8 p.m. and performing until midnight. Also set to appear are DJ Irie, Dave Mason, Jon Secada, Ky-Mani Marley, Miami Beach jazz vocalist Nicole Henry and Jamaican reggae band Third World. Andy Garcia will serve as an emcee for a portion of the evening.

Tickets near the stage cost $540, but some tickets cost as little as $55. There is also will be a free viewing area for the first 5,000 Miami Beach residents (with ID) who show up. Folding chairs are allowed, but outside food and booze are not.
