Kiss Country Chili Cook-off survival guide

First off, understand that while about 100 tents will be spread across the grounds, with chefs tossing all kinds of ingredients into a pot, sadly, that chili is not going to pass your lips. Only approved vendors can satiate the more than 20,000 people expected to attend the Kiss Country Chili Cook-off, presented by WKIS-FM. So just get to the C.B. Smith Park in Pembroke Pines early Sunday, Jan. 25, sit back and enjoy the music. Brad Paisley is the headliner, preceded by the Cadillac Three, the Swon Brothers, Jerrod Niemann and the Band Perry. For some people, the Cook-off is a marathon party. The most loyal patrons arrive before 1 a.m., when the Pines Boulevard parking lot opens. The Taft Street lot opens at 6 a.m., and the park's gates open at 8:30 a.m. - Nick Sortal,
