Get your beer bellies ready for this weekend, because the second Saturday of each month is party night at Due South Brewing Company, starting at 3 p.m. June 8. The Boynton Beach brewery recently announced the start of its cask-party series, featuring Due South brews infused with herbs, fruits and other different flavors.
Cask treatments consist of letting a beer sit in a small barrel to absorb flavor notes from taste agents floating in the suds. The first special release on the lineup is a ginger-lemongrass-cucumber version of Due South's Florida Blonde ale. To go along with the Asian-inspired infusion, the brewery will invite the Spring In Roll Out food truck, which serves Vietnamese spring rolls and Banh Mi sandwiches.
The cask-conditioned Florida Blonde will be tapped promptly at 3 p.m. and poured until it runs out. To check the schedule of future cask-release parties, keep up with the brewery on Facebook at Facebook.com/DueSouthBrewing.
