Miami Beach taqueria to be featured on Cooking Channel

Chef Todd Erickson of Huahua’s Taqueria (1211 Lincoln Rd, Miami Beach, 305-534-8226, will be featured on Cooking Channel's “Taco Trip” at 8 p.m. Sunday.

Host and chef Aaron Sanchez stopped by Huahua’s for the fried chicken tacos, which were also recently featured in Food Network magazine’s list of 50 states, 50 tacos.

Erickson will host a viewing party at the restaurant, where he’ll feature an all-day food and drink special — two fried chicken tacos, half of the signature elote and a regular soda for $9.99. Elote is grilled Mexican-style sweet corn topped with spicy mayo, cotija cheese and cilantro.

Huahua’s opened in July 2013.
