The historic Bonnet House in Fort lauderdale will offer exclusive tours of the second-floor living quarters of Frederic and Evelyn Bartlett. Private tours are offered at 2 p.m. on the second and fourth Wednesdays each month. Limit: 10 people per tour. Reservations required. Tickets are $20.

“You really get a feel for the people who lived here. All the rooms have a casual, beachy feel,” says Kent Planck, a Fort Lauderdale historian who leads visitors upstairs through the six rooms and five bathrooms. “You can see all the stuff they collected and what they painted. They left so many things behind.”

The Bonnet House is at 900 N. Birch Road, Fort Lauderdale. Call 954-563-5393 or go to — Doreen Christensen
