On loan from the Simon Wiesenthal Center and Société Nationale des Chemins de fer Français, France's state-owned railway, "The Courage To Remember: The Holocaust 1933-1945" includes 200 photographs spanning 1933, the year Germany elected Adolf Hitler chancellor, through 1945, the end of World War II. Among the most striking images is a 1933 photograph of Jewish storefronts in Berlin scrawled with the words "Jude," German for "Jew"; a Berlin street arrest in 1938; and a lineup of prisoners at the Dachau concentration camp. The exhibit is featured on the sixth floor of the Broward County Main Library.
