This week onstage: Whitney Houston tribute, Hispanic festival and bachelor humor

Here is what’s going on with theater productions this week in Miami, Fort Lauderdale and Lake Worth.

33rd International Hispanic Theatre Festival of Miami

This year the festival will bring nine productions from six countries to various auditoriums in Miami-Dade County. Performances are in Spanish, although some have English supertitles. The festival spans three weeks with performances Thursdays or Fridays through Sundays. There will also be forums, workshops and the popular International Children’s Day celebration.

When: July 12-29. Various times.

Cost: Some events are free and others are $34 for general admission.

“The Greatest Love of All: The Whitney Houston Show”

South African singer Belinda Davids re-creates all of Whitney Houston’s hits in this tribute show complete with a six-piece band, backing vocalists and dancers. The concert show will feature chart-toppers such as “I Will Always Love You,” “I Wanna Dance With Somebody,” “How Will I Know,” “Didn’t We Almost Have It All” and “I’m Every Woman.”

When: 8 p.m. July 13.

Where: Broward Center for the Performing Arts, 201 SW Fifth Ave., Fort Lauderdale.

“Til Death Do Us Part… You First! True Confessions About Sex, Marriage and Other Things That End Prematurely”

Peter Fogel is the man who you know from the solo show “My Mother’s Italian, My Father’s Jewish and I’m in Therapy” that toured the country and had long, successful runs here in South Florida. Now the comedian and storyteller brings this new one-man show about an eternal bachelor who reviews his own romantic mishaps as he looks for the woman of his dreams to Lake Worth for a limited engagement.

When: 8 p.m. July 13-14.

Where: Stonzek Theatre, 713 Lake Ave., Lake Worth (next to the Lake Worth Playhouse).
