Garth Brooks recalled getting the phone call inviting him to play the first-ever standalone concert at Notre Dame Stadium.
“The first line, I will remember it for the rest of my life, on the phone, he goes, ‘Are you familiar with Notre Dame Stadium?’ I think me and the rest of the world is pretty familiar with Notre Dame Stadium. Yeah, they were great, so it was fun,” Brooks said Friday on “Live with Kelly and Ryan.”
“In college, (former Notre Dame quarterback) Joe Montana was my guy. I went to school at Oklahoma State. I bleed orange, but I had green and gold all over my wall. … And don’t take this as egotistical, but I’m undefeated there.”
