Burgers and booze at new Las Olas restaurant | Video

Video - @BSquareBurgers in Lauderdale features cutting-edge fare

B Square Burgers and Booze is anything but square.

In fact, what the new Las Olas Boulevard restaurant is touting is a cutting-edge, eclectic menu with items such as:

The Decadent Dog – A foot-long Kobe beef hot dog with truffle oil, topped with sauteed lobster in garlic butter and served with Parmesan fries.

Messy Wings – Chicken wings with unusual flavor profiles, such as creamy peanut butter and jelly or Jack Daniels with horseradish and BBQ sauce.

The Dad Bod – A burger made with hormone-free beef and topped with Maytag blue cheese, truffle mushrooms, purple caramelized onions and a sunny-side up fried egg.

"B Square is bringing something unique and refreshing to Fort Lauderdale's dining scene," says co-founder Tommy Febbraio, in a press release. "Our vision was to create a menu offering refined dishes from light, health-conscious salads to hearty, gourmet burgers."

And as for the name, B Square was a popular choice with the younger crowd the owners hope to attract. Also it is a marketing reference to the twin "b's" in "burgers" and "booze."

B Square Burgers and Booze is located at 1021 E. Las Olas Blvd., Fort Lauderdale. For more information, call 954-999-5216 or go to
